Foreign and Domestic Affairs
Timitopolans, like all people of ancient Greece, considered themselves Timitopolans before they regarded themselves as Greeks. When the Olympics were held, for example, citizens competed against other city-states in a relatively friendly manner whilst managing to exclude any non-Greeks. They were suspicious of foreigners and thought themselves superior, for they believed they were “chosen people” (by the Greek gods and goddesses). Their society was very close knit in general, some city-states more so than others.
The allies of Timitopolis included Thanapolis and Phantasia. Thanapolis was an important ally, for they exported necessary weapons and armor. Another ally, Phantasia, majorly sold weaponry, agriculture and art. Although this city-state did not withhold as much importance to Timitopolis, they remained a collaborator of Thanapolis and therefore an automatic colleague to Timitopolis.
As for the rivals of Timitopolis, there was only one: Titaves. This rivalry was sparked through the city-states' mutual exportation of fish. Because Titaves solely exported fish, the competition became tough.
Phareous, on the other hand, was neither an ally nor rival. They exported agriculture and medicine. Although Timitopolis was an exporter of agriculture as well as Timitopolis, it was not their only product. Medical supplies over-shadowed the analogous exportation of agriculture, for no other city-states produced and sold it.

Millitary
Timitopolises' army consisted of many ranks. The army had roughly 2,000 soldiers The highest ranked person in Timitopolis' military was called a supreme commander. The supreme commander was the main leader of the army. He gave directions and commands to the army officers. There is only one person in Timitopolis who has this job. The next highest ranking was the generals. The generals helped command the military. Ten generals were elected the the ecclesia (assembly) each year. Next comes the Brigadier. The Brigadiers commanded brigades. They were responsible for strategizing and commanding the operations. Then there is the colonel, the colonels were responsible for commanding the operations of a regiment. The battalion leader was the commander of a Tagma (battalion). They were responsible for handling thier battalions during military operations. The captain was next, he acted as the captains in the military. Their insignia represented three stars that were silver. The Hoplite were foot soldiers. These soldiers were armed as spearmen and they were required to fight in phalanx (moving in close formation). Regiment Commander Cavalry were powerful warriors with mounted on horses wearing armor. Finally came the Horse archers. The horse archers were mounted soldiers who are equipped with bows.
Timitopolises' navy was only a little smaller than the army. It consisted of 1,500 soldiers. Each ship consisted of about two hundred soldiers Most of them were rowers which was about 130 men. the rest varied between spears men archers, and officers and sailors. Our navy is pretty small but that is one of the reasons we allied with Thanapolis and Phantasia.
